The Calligraphy Society of Victoria Inc is committed to protecting and securing the privacy and confidentiality of the personal information it collects from its members. It is aware of the new privacy requirements as a result of the amendments to the Privacy Act 1988.

The primary purpose of the collection of personal information is for the maintenance of our membership list, and for facilitating distribution and communications to our members.

Such information includes your name, address, telephone number, email address, and membership status.

We will not disclose your personal information to any other party for any purpose. The exception is where such disclosure is required in accordance with the Law.

Also, background information which has been supplied by calligraphy teachers and compiled by the CSV is also treated in the same confidence. Such information will only be used by CSV Inc Committee members, and this information will be for the purpose of answering calligraphic inquires from the public.

There will be no distribution in hard copy format unless individually authorised, and then, only in accordance with the law.
